WHO, THE - Quadrophenia (1973)

When this arrived in the mail several weeks ago it marked the first time I had sincerely listened to Quadrophenia as a serious work of art. That’s embarrassing, being a huge Who fan, but it’s the honest truth. When I bought the LP in late ’73 my head wasn’t much into hard rock any more so, after a few cursory spins, I shelved and eventually sold my vinyl copy. Until only recently, digital camcorders that could record videos in a HD resolution were considered an unaffordable luxury good. Though now with HD televisions slowly overrunning the standard models, HD is also becoming the norm for home video. I've seen a number of press releases from i2Telecom lately. At least one I glossed over because they announced they were the first with a product comparable to a solution I wrote about nearly 16 months ago. Me too never impresses me much, and claiming to be first that far behind the curve does even less to impress me. What strikes me here is the idea that they can deliver dual-mode functionality to any handset. Sure, I've got multiple WiFi-enabled handsets, but I'm really keen for dual-mode fun

OptNgn Announces Open Source Floating Point VHDL Library OptNgn announced that it is offering a floating point VHDL library under the GPLv3 Open Source License. FPGA designers can now save months of coding and debug time by using these floating point libraries instead of creating the VHDL from scratch. iPods and MP3 players are basically the same thing, with a special difference, iPod has access to low priced music downloads, via the iTunes Music Store, the largest online music store. Podcasting and podcatching are somewhat misleading terms, because iPods are not essential to either process.
